By adhering to these sunlight and temperature guidelines, you can ensure the optimal health and growth of your Sky Pencil Hollies. When choosing a planting spot, consider soil type and moisture requirements. Inadequate sunlight can result in leggy and thin growth, which pruning can rectify.Ĭonversely, excessive sunlight can scorch leaves, necessitating some shade during peak hours. Extreme temperatures can harm the plant, so selecting a location with appropriate conditions is crucial. Sky Pencil Holly thrives in full sun to partial shade, requiring at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Keep a close eye on your sky pencil holly and address any issues promptly to prevent further damage. Use insecticidal soap or horticultural oil to control scale insects. Scale insects can also infest sky pencil hollies, causing yellow spots on the leaves and stunted growth. Regularly inspect the holly for signs of spider mites and use an appropriate insecticide if necessary. To prevent this, ensure the soil has good drainage and avoid overwatering.Īnother issue is spider mites, which can cause yellowing leaves and webbing on the plant. One of these problems is root rot, which can occur due to overwatering or poorly drained soil. While sky pencil hollies are generally resistant to diseases and pests, there are still a few common issues to watch out for. Avoid heavy pruning in late summer or early fall to prevent new growth from being susceptible to winter damage. To preserve the narrow, columnar form of Sky Pencil Holly, prune the outer branches slightly shorter than the inner branches. Start by removing dead or damaged branches, as well as any branches that are crossing or rubbing against each other. When pruning, it’s essential to use sharp, clean tools to prevent the spread of disease. Regular pruning helps maintain the desired size and shape and promotes healthy growth. Pruning is a crucial aspect of managing Sky Pencil Holly and can effectively address common problems such as overgrowth and lack of shape. By maintaining optimal soil conditions and providing the right nutrients, you can help your hollies thrive. Test the soil’s pH regularly to ensure it falls within the ideal range for sky pencil holly plants. Over-fertilizing can result in weak stems and excessive growth, so use the recommended dosage. It’s crucial to select a fertilizer specifically designed for holly plants, as they have unique nutrient requirements. ![]() Compacted or poorly drained soil can lead to root rot and other problems. Sky Pencil Holly plants thrive in well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. Ensuring adequate drainage is also crucial in preventing overwatering problems. If it feels dry at that depth, it’s time to water. To determine when it’s time to water, check the soil’s moisture level by sticking your finger into it up to your knuckle. On the other hand, underwatering can cause the leaves to turn brown and wilt. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent issues. However, Overwatering can lead to root rot and other fungal diseases, so it’s important to water these plants deeply but infrequently. Overwatering and underwatering can both pose problems for Sky Pencil Holly plants. Lastly, root rot can occur due to overwatering or poorly drained soil, so improving drainage and avoiding overwatering is crucial to prevent this problem. Poor growth or thinning foliage may result from improper pruning or lack of sunlight, so early spring pruning and ensuring adequate sunlight are essential. Pests like spider mites, scale insects, and aphids can be controlled with insecticidal soaps or horticultural oils. Leaf spot diseases, characterized by brown or black spots on the leaves, can be managed with fungicides and pruning affected branches. Yellowing leaves can indicate nutrient deficiencies or overwatering, so adjusting the fertilization and watering schedule is important. Sky Pencil Holly may experience common issues such as yellowing leaves, leaf spot diseases, and pest infestations. By following these strategies, you can effectively manage and maintain the health of your Sky Pencil Holly. Pruning and shaping the plant can promote optimal growth while protecting it from extreme weather conditions is essential. Additionally, it’s crucial to understand the common pests and diseases that affect Sky Pencil Holly and how to treat them. Proper watering and fertilization can help prevent problems. Liliana's Indignation reminds me a lot of Song of Blood because they both rely on creatures to trigger an ability. It might see some play in angel tribal decks. Renegade Reaper almost didn’t make it onto the list, but it gains some life when the conditions are met. It provides a new way of playing even if you run out of cards from your library. Out of the Tombs is a newly introduced card with lots of potential. The purpose is to follow that by casting or reanimating Thassa's Oracle to win on the spot. Cephalid Illusionist is where half the name comes from, and the idea is to pair it along with Nomads en-Kor or Shuko to mill yourself out. This card is the core of a deck called “Cephalid Breakfast” in Legacy. This is one of the most used cards to cast Tolarian Terror more cheaply in some formats like Pauper. You can quickly fill out your graveyard if you play multiples in any deck. Mental Note is one of the best self-mill cards because it replaces itself for cheap. Its primary role isn’t to mill cards from your deck but to use cheap mana artifacts like Mox Amber from the graveyard along with Paradox Engine to generate infinite mana in the right deck. Emry, Lurker of the LochĮmry, Lurker of the Loch isn’t your regular self-mill card. It’s often paired with See the Truth in formats where it’s legal, like Pioneer. The particularity of Ertai's Familiar is that it’s not your usual self-mill enabler. The second is that it generates mana while doing so. The first is that it’s a creature that can mill you multiple times throughout a game. Deranged Assistantĭeranged Assistant has two things I like. Here are some other pseudo-self-mill cards that look like self-mill: But it usually does it by looking at or revealing cards from the library and then putting some of them into the graveyard. Interestingly, green is the color with the most ways to put cards into the graveyard. Strategic Planning, for example, is a card that puts cards into the graveyard for you, but it technically isn’t “from the top of your library.” Some cards “look” like self-mill cards because they’re often used to send cards to the graveyard, but by definition they’re not. Besides, the point is self-milling, not having options! Honorable Mentions I’m also excluding cards like Hedron Crab that can choose any player. If one week looks like they will have a high hotel occupancy rate, then they might add in an additional EMH offering to accommodate the crowds. Disney is constantly monitoring their crowd projections. In fact it is not uncommon, since you will be planning a Disney trip months in advance, to one day look at park hours for when you will be there and notice that a park now has an additional EMH offering that week. In summary, if this would be a new franchise I think it would deserve around a 6-7 score but being a Tomb raider with circa 100M budget (the 3th part of a trilogy!) the result is really disappointing. I recommend playing it on "one with the jungle" difficulty and doing all tombs and side quests, this makes combats more frequent and gives a reason to upgrade Lara's skill tree, also removes the white painting on the platform sections. Another nice feature is that if you have save data of the previous Cristal Dynamic tomb raider some outfits will be automatically unlocked, even the 2013 PS3 Lara skin. On PS5 there is a free upgrade to play it on 4K and it offers impressive moments, except the NPCS, they still look consistently terrible. On the positive side, I liked the dark tone of the game a lot, like Indy and temple of doom, some scenarios are gorgeous, especially a couple of tombs and the executions are brutal. Let's start with Lara, changing the face/body from Megan Farquhar to Camila Luddington was an atrocious mistake already made by Crystal Dynamics on Rise under the excuse of "allowing better motion capture" although we all know the reason behind it.
